![The Rat with the Human Face: The Qwikpick Papers by [Angleberger, Tom]](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51bNA38xAlL.jpg)
The town of Crickenberg might seem quiet and somewhat boring, but Lyle and his friends are determined to find an adventure. They have formed a society called the Qwikpick Society and are looking everywhere for a second mystery to solve. Just when their efforts seem somewhat underwhelming, they overhear someone talking about a rat with a human face that is in an old building. Their efforts to find this creature are quickly ended when Lyle is caught misbehaving and the society's future is at risk. This book reminded me of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and has a similar lighthearted style that would appeal to many teens.
